Welcome to the Dal-Worth Appaloosa Horse Club
"Our mission is to promote the interest of the breed from a regional
standpoint in cooperation with the programs and functions of the Appaloosa
Horse Club, the parent organization, and regional Appaloosa clubs affiliated
with ApHC; to gain proper publicity through various functions sponsored by the
club; to promote and stimulate a better understanding of the Appaloosa
breed."
Please browse our website to find activities related to your
interests: whether it be breed shows, open shows, trail rides or
breeding.
The Dal-Worth Appaloosa Horse club crosspoints with the
Texas Appaloosa Horse Club for those of
you showing on the Texas circuit.
For those of you who prefer to stay a
little closer to home, participate in the Dal-Worth saddle series which
accumulates points only from the three Dal-Worth hosted shows. See the
Saddles Series link for more details!
We
will have an active Youth Club in 2009, providing
activities for the youth at the shows, as well as fundraising opportunities to
offset the cost of attending the Youth World Championship Appaloosa Show. Watch
the website or attend the youth meetings at the shows for more
information!
We encourage you to take advantage of our
Foal Showcase to promote your stallions and babies and
our For Sale section to publicize your horses,
tack, trailers and show clothes for sale!
To contact any of our officers
or directors with compliments, questions or suggestions, visit our
Governance page for all current contact
information.

| Texas Animal Health Commission |
During the vesicular stomatitis (VS)
outbreak:
If you plan to haul Texas equine animals to New Mexico, be
sure the certificate of veterinary inspection is issued within seven
days prior to arrival in that state. New Mexico updated their vesicular
stomatitis requirements Tuesday, June 30. (When Texas is free of vesicular
stomatitis, certificates of veterinary inspection will again be valid for 30
days for Texas equine animals entering New Mexico.)
For ALL livestock
entering New Mexico, the New Mexico state veterinarian requires the following
statement on the certificate of veterinary inspection:
"The animals
represented on this CVI (health certificate) have not originated from a
premises or area under quarantine for vesicular stomatitis (VS), or a premises
on which VS has been diagnosed in the past 21 days. I have examined the animals
and have found no clinical signs of VS.
You must have an entry
permit, issued by the New Mexico Livestock Board, if you are transporting
livestock to New Mexico from a county with vesicular stomatitis. (Currently in
Texas, vesicular stomatitis is limited to STARR COUNTY in far south Texas.) The
entry permit may be obtained at no charge by calling the New Mexico Livestock
Board at 505-841-6161. |
